Your main duty as an Educare Staffing wellbeing facilitator is to engage people in their own community to improve their wellbeing. You will be responsible for reducing social isolation, ill health and financial and digital exclusion via activities and events themed around the 5 ways to wellbeing.

They are: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give.

In the Wellbeing Facilitator/Support Worker role you will be expected to be responsible for reducing social isolation, ill health and financial & digital exclusion through activities and events all the while promoting the Five Ways of Wellbeing.

The main responsibilities of the role;

  • Work with individuals and groups to improve wellbeing through recognising and building on people’s personal strengths
  • Develop services with Service Users by involving them in the design, delivery and evaluation of activities provided
  • Work with our Service Users to tackle issues such as, loneliness, isolation, health, financial difficulties, transport and any other barriers preventing them from participating in opportunities
  • Ensure that the right support is always available, at the right time and from the right people
  • Build relationships with other voluntary and community services
  • Work as part of a team to encourage Service Users to grow and thrive
  • Work with Service Users to build confidence and enhance their quality of life
  • Promote digital inclusion so that Service Users can explore the options available to them
  • Be a point of contact for volunteers
  • Provide personal care to Service Users
  • Keep clear and concise records in line with company policies and procedures
  • Communicate excellently with Service Users, their family and friends, as well as colleagues in a friendly and professional manner
  • Implement actions outlined in Service Users Support Plan
  • Have a good working knowledge of Health & Safety practices

In this role you will be expected to promote Service Users independence encouraging them to live healthy, well balanced lives using a warm and friendly approach.
